Subclass 804 (aged parent) permanent visa: Allows Australian permanent residents or Australian citizens or eligible New Zealand citizens who reside and are settled in Australia to bring their aged parents on a permanent basis. Aged parent means a parent who is old enough to be given an age pension under the Social Security Act 1991.

- stay in Australia indefinitely
- work in Australia
- study in Australia
- travel outside Australia as many times as you want for 5 years after the date of visa grant
- apply for Australian citizenship if eligible
- You may have some medical cover under a Reciprocal Health Care agreement
