Visa subclass 191- Permanent residence ( Skilled Regional): There are two streams available to apply for this visa: The Regional Provisional visas stream and the Hong Kong (Regional) Stream.
Major highlights applicable to the permanent visa subclass 191 ( Regional Provisional visas stream):
- The applicant has held a regional eligible visa such as visa subclass 491 or visa subclass 494 for at least 3 years
- The applicant holds a regional eligible visa
- Applicant needs to provide notices of assessments for at least 3 income years.
- The applicant has complied substantially with the conditions of the regional provisional visa and any subsequent bridging visas.
Visa subclass 191- Hong Kong ( Regional) Stream
Major highlights relevant to the Hong Kong ( Regional) Stream
- The applicant has complied substantially with the conditions of his/her visas and any subsequent bridging visas
- Hold an eligible visa such as Visa subclass 482, 457 or 485.
- The applicant must be a Hong Kong or British National ( Overseas) passport holder
- The applicant must have held any of the eligible visas for at least 3 years
- The applicant holds an eligible visa.
- For the last consecutive 3 years before the date of the application, the applicant must have lived and carried out any work or study in a Designated Regional area.
What can you do:
- stay in Australia for up to 5 years from the date of visa grant
- live, work and study in a specified region of Australia
- travel to and from Australia as many times as you want during the period of stay
- apply for permanent residency, if eligible, through the subclass 191 (Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa
